7 Neverfull Alternatives That Will Save Your Bank Account

Louis Vuitton’s Neverfull is a well-loved piece. Some people across the globe own and rave about them.

I can’t blame them. Based on videos I’ve watched and reviews I’ve read about the Neverfull, it really is a sturdy and versatile tote. No wonder it had established a cult following throughout the years.

(Go check out Youtube and you’ll know what I’m saying.)

However, as much as I want one for myself, having this bag will cost me a fortune.

Louis Vuitton’s iconic Neverfull comes in three sizes namely the PM (small), MM (medium-sized), and the GM (large).

The PM retails for $1240.

The MM for $1320.

And the GM for $1400.

7 Neverfull alternatives that won’t break the bank

If you are a working law student who’s on a tight budget like me, bourgeois living is the last thing you’ll do to survive the gruelling 5 to 6 years of your student life. When you have your law school tuition and miscellaneous fees, as well as your books and daily living allowance to spend for, every cent counts.

However, it doesn’t mean you cannot splurge yourself for all your hard work. Believe it or don’t there are other more affordable bags, which possess the sophistication and functionality the Neverfull has.

I have here 7 of my most loved LV neverfull bag alternatives. Using them made my life better and hassle free as they are big and strong enough to carry all my daily essentials.

You’re welcome!

Tory Burch Ella Tote

By far, this is the largest tote I have in my bag collection. It is so big you can literally fit a ton in there.

It is made of nylon, which makes it easy to clean. I also love using this during the rainy season because its nylon material is thick enough to keep all my stuff dry.

Unlike the Louis Vuitton Neverfulls that has leather trimmings or vechetta leather in them (those in damier azure and monogram print), this one doesn’t get any water or other unwanted marks. All you need to do is to get a piece of damp cloth, wipe the tote, and you’re good to go.

Meanwhile, its handles are made of patent leather, which are strong enough to withstand pressure. No wonder it can keep up with my daily commute even though it’s loaded with my laptop, codals, and other hardbound law books.

I actually made a blog post about this bag. If you are interested to have one for yourself, you may read it here.

Coach Reversible Tote

I am a big fan of totes. So, when Coach released this baby, I knew I have to get me one.

Others don’t like this tote because it’s just a giant black hole, open bucket. For some, they think this is a semi-neverfull copycat because of its size and the detachable wrislet that comes with it, which is quite similar to Louis Vuitton Neverfulls’ detachable pochette.

But for me, this bag’s just perfect for on-the-go working law students like me.

The fact that it’s a tote makes it easier for me to just dump all my stuff in there. It has sturdy handles that fits comfortably on my shoulder. It’s also waterproof because of its coated canvass material.

I got mine in dark brown and in the Coach monogram print. I bought this bag from Ardee Bags and Watches (go check them out), during my previous employment as government administrative officer. It was worth the money!

Another good thing about this bag is that it is reversible. From the signature Coach monogram side, you can wear it using the plain black side, which looks like this:

So, it’s like buying two bags in one!

Here’s an instagram video that I made. You can visualize how much stuff it can carry. It really was worth the buy!

Coach Metro Tote

This is the newest in my collection and, so far, I’m loving it!

Just like the Coach Reversible tote, this one has large capacity. All my books, planner, notebooks, laptop, and other essentials can all fit in it.

It’s handles are sturdy too. They are still strong enough to support this tote’s large capacity, even though I bought this preloved from a Carousell Shop named Loved by Andi,

Although this bag isn’t reversible, I can still transform its look using the clasps found on both sides.

This transforms and shrinks the bag!

When the clasps are fastened together, it makes the bag smaller. This is quite similar with how you would shrink a neverfull using its side synch straps.

To see this bag more up close, here’s my Coach Metro Tote First Impression video on Youtube:

Longchamp Totes

I have two reliable Longchamp totes which, I swear to God, are both built for kill!

One is Longchamp Planetes, which I got in black.

The other is the Longchamp Le Pliage in Red.

(Click on the Instagram box below to see the video.)

Apart from being waterproof and having large capacity, both of these totes are lightweight too! Hence, stuffing them with law school things isn’t agonizing.

Surprisingly, they have sturdy handles as well. I am impressed that they were able to keep up with my law school hustle.

Finally, another thing to love about these totes is the fact that they both have zipper closure. Though I never had any issue with my open totes ( I use this organizer that keeps all my stuff organized and secure!), I just thought my Longchamp Planetes and Le Pliage makes it more carefree for me to commute around the metro.

Recently, these two became my favorite go-to law school totes. I can’t help but rave about them in my Instagram Page.

Sisley Neverfull Look-alike Tote

“Neverfull GM!”

That’s the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this tote.

It looks like one, isn’t it?

I got this Sisley Tote preloved from a Carousell shop named Silentlefty. It reminded me of Louis Vuitton’s Neverfull because it’s of the same size as the GM. It’s handles are treated leather, much like the Damier Ebene Neverfull in the GM size.

This bag can fit a dozen puppies inside, (just so you can visualize its capacity). And though some parts of its handles were already chipped, it isn’t close to ripping off or snapping.

I’m planning to make a comprehensive review about this bag. While it’s still in the works, let me give you a glimpse of how it looks like on video: (Click on the Instagram box below to see.)

Indeed, this is another built-for-kill tote that I know I’ll enjoy using in the years to come.

Sisley Saffiano Tote

If you’ve been reading my content since 2018, you might remember that one of the earliest blog posts I’ve made on this site is a first impression article or blog about this beautiful girl.

Of all the bags I have in this list, this is the only one that has structure. It is made of durable saffiano leather that can withstand even the most grueling Metro Manila commute ever. Tried and tested!

Another thing that sets this tote apart from the rest is that it has metal stands at the bottom. This helps the bag to stand on its own even when it’s empty. And since this is a structured saffiano leather tote, it retains it shape, regardless if it’s empty or filled.

But just the same, this baby has large capacity and can fit all my stuff in it.

You can have chic style and functionality without spending a lot of money

If you can afford any of the Louis Vuitton neverfulls, then, well and good. I’m happy for you.

Frankly, I would love to have sufficient resources to buy one. But I’ll do so only if I have the extra money, after spending on my daily necessities.

That’s what you call PRIORITIES. Lol.

At the end of the day, bags will be bags. You use them, they wear out after years of use.

And while it’s good to have elegant yet functional pieces in your collection, it doesn’t have to [always] be Louis Vuitton or any luxury item.

xoxo,

Tina

    1. I agree. Some leather and faux leather bags are quite heavy to carry. This is actually one of the reasons why I started to go for canvas-made bags.

Thanks for reading. Am glad you find the selections great.
